Well here she is, an exciting new project for the Auto Fanatic. This car was built and tossed around to so many shops all over the country over the course of 10 years and now the final resting spot will be in my private workshop. The bare bones of this car are good and the reason why it is heading my way in the first place. With an abundance of junk builds on the market with owners desperate to unload because of poor execution and efforts by other shops these cars fall in the hands of wealthy guys who fail to understand the nitty gritty of these projects. Go over and read my story on building my 1970 Mach 1 and you will get a grasp of what I am talking about here. My goal is to take this car to an even higher level, work out all the kinks, make it handle, stop and drive the way it should by adjusting all parameters and geometry of the suspension and braking system. A 6 Speed manual conversion is on the list as well as a new steering wheel, Forgeline or HRE wheels and some de-chroming of the exterior. I may also cut and tuck both front and rear bumpers and color match them in black after I metal finish and smooth the mounting studs. I will also do some auto detail videos on the car as it is here before I finish it and send it off to it’s new home.
